If your rifle is shooting the best accuracy ever at 100 yards do you really want to venture out on to the slippery slope of precision reloading? I remember fondly the day when I carried a rifle, ammo and a cleaning kit [and NOT 200lbs of equipment and flags] and had a great time. Now I feel naked without all of that stuff.
Variations in case length will affect velocity. Every accuracy buff [nut, fool, etc] I shoot with trims to a consistent length.
What sort of groups are you getting - what are you shooting?
Have lots of fun shooting and be sure to infect someone else!

So these variations effects velocity ? I do have some large spreads .What causes that? Shorter hold on the bullet less neck tension ? I'm shooting a 6x284 with 56.3 grs of H4350 behind Nosler 70 gr I'm getting from 3790 to 3,910 out of 10 rnds my average velocity was 3,833. I was getting 5 shot 1/4MOA. Rem 700 Sendero 26" 10" twist Hart varmint contour BBL trued action Jewell trigger large Holland recoil lug. Plus I've been told I have sever throat erosion bye gun smith who built it for me. Maybe he wants some work sooner rather then later.

A 6-284 is likely to eat the throat out of a barrel faster than a .243 which is good for maybe 1500-1800 rounds of prairie dog accuracy. You'll know when that barrel is done when it'll produce a good five shot group or two then the accuracy will go right down the tubes, unless you clean every five rounds. That's fine for short range BR, but a pain in the caboose in the field. With an ES of 120 fps your long range accuracy isn't likely to be too good either.
Are the cases new or have they all been fired the same number of times? Some cases will grow more than others of the same lot fired with the same load the same number of times, but usually after they're trimmed to a certain length after firing and sizing they don't get any shorter.
You can always trim them to the length of the shortest case and go from there.
