I.m thinking of coming to this Shoot, for the VFS. Will VFS 200/300 be shot both days after Htr?

Glenn, I talked to Larry, and he will shoot the HBR 200 on Sat Morning, the VFS 200 on Sat Afternoon, the VFS 300 Sunday Morning, and the HBR 300 Sunday Afternoon.

So far we have one set of range flags then Jackie s has one and Boyd d 3 so far
I have 5 Ezell flags. I've managed to "ventilate" 1 set but the remaining 4 are fine. Even the 1 set with holes is likely usable. I haven't offered them up since I don't know what's involved with a "sponsorship" and I don't know if we're rotating benches or what. At the Texas State 100/200 we rotated benches. We moved our personal flags with us. Is that not the case with this match? What exactly is going to happen? If I can help, I will. I just don't understand the game plan.

Kyle, this is a National Championship Match, where National Championship Patches will be awarded to the winners in each Yardage and Grand Agg.

At National Championship Matches, you must rotate after each target. At a 20 bench range inch as Walker County, ( he is using 2 through 21), you will rotate 4 benches to the right after each target.

A Flag Rotation simply means that someone has volunteered to furnish flags for all five benches that are on that rotation. This usually takes 25 or 30 identicle flags. I say identicle because most shooters like to shoot over the same type of flag at each bench they rotate too. Often 5 shooters with identicle flags will pool their flags and make up a Rotation.

I made up 30 flags a few years ago to use a National Events if needed. We used them in Lake Charles two years ago and Colorado last year.

My flag rotation will start on Bench 2. The next bench will be 6, then 10, then 14, and finishing up on 18.

Here is one of my flags..... the extensions are needed because between 100 and 300, the range really dips. I will have 5 at 200, 6 at 300.

Thanks Jackie!

I appreciate the tutorial. I'll still bring my flags in case enough other shooters also have Ezell flags that we can pool together.
