Valenite thread relief insert

I have Valenite inserts that I have never seen or heard of before I was given these/ thread relief inserts that cut a very nice thread relief and a very good square shoulder at the same time. Very high-grade ground carbide with a 30° taper on the backside of the insert to make a very nice looking smooth thread relief. Never used to cut a thread relief until I was given these inserts.

I cut every shoulder to length using a grooving insert. Most get a thread relief groove. As you said , good finish and square.

Tony they do but was made as a special order back in the ninety's. (VC2 51250522 or V0V0414330) not sure which is the correct part number both numbers are on the invoice and the and the box of 10 pieces. I will call you.
