Does anyone have any experience/direction on how to properly use the programmer scope? Just don’t want to break anything. Thank you

Occular end adjusted so cross hairs are clear to you and do not move or fade or give a double image. Objective adjusted for distance to target, go past the distance and come back to it until clear. Windage & elevation same as any other scope, but I prefer to go past and then return to setting feeling that I get a more stable adj. this way.

Forward of the cross hair focus are two small screws that can be
loosened to
turn the cross hairs if they are not level. And on the forward bell you
have two distance focusing rings - a Primary rough ring adjustment
(100 yd. - 200 yd. etc.), and a secondary compensator fine adjustment
ring. The Unertl is so long that I find it helpful to have some one else
turn the bell rings while I look through the scope.:D

As far as the image focus and the 3 rings. I assume the first ring, closest to the middle of the scope u loosen in order to adjust the other 2 ( coarse and fine focus)? I noticed when I loosen this ring I can turn the coarse much easier. In fact it almost 'slips' or doesn't 'catch' when attempting to focus. I also don't fully understand the programmer option.
The image when in focus is unbelievable. I was dealing with some eye fatigue or a focus issue as I shot. It got harder for me to maintain the image unless I rested or looked away briefly. I have been doing some reading and my one-squinted- eye technique needs to go. Thx guys

We all need to shoot both eye open. I have been working on it. I too had pic get fuzzy esp towards end of target w/ one eye shooting.

I do shoot 82G IRON sights on the A23/5 target and shoot that right eye only. I really have to see if I can do both eyes open on that.. Anyone else?

yea..agree on the 2 eye thing, i gotta practice. On the scope..not sure if I was clear. There are 3 rings at the end of the scope, one that is numbered 1-9 or something, fine i guess? next in line, one graduated 50ft-200yrds..I assume that is coarse. then a final ring. Once this is backed off..it seems you can turn the coarse function easier? In fact the coarse function seems to skip or slip if that other ring is backed off too far. Make sense? thx guys
