We had a light turnout for today's match. Health reasons were reported for a few and I suspect the weather played a part. This was unfortunate as despite the constant rain, conditions were the best we've seen at this range in a couple of years. If the wind is your friend, you had no friend today, for the wind rarely lifted a sail tail even to 7 O'clock. The scores were good, but should have been even better. Since there was no wind to blame I suspect the out of tune rifles were possibly the culprit along with some heavy mirage from time to time. At any rate those of those lucky enough to be there had a very good time. Maybe my boots and jacket will have time to dry before the next match.
