I realize that two speed tuning has been discussed before. The question I have is does that method provide a better tune than if your rifle is tuned for a particular lot number ammo. For those that have tried both what do you think?

Try this web sight. It has a good explanation of what tuning can accomplish. The first two paragraphs pretty much answer your question. The author of the article doesn’t concern himself with a particular type or lot of ammo, only with small variations in muzzle velocity of some chosen ammo. The choice of ammo is up to the shooter.
