twist rate?

I've got basically two choices (10, 12) for a twist rate before I order a new barrel.
rem 700 .338 win mag...225 accubonds @ around 2750 fps with a 26'' barrel.
It would be easy and possibly correct to order a 1:10 but if there's someone out there that has a better idea I'm all ears and grateful for the info.

10" twist is pretty standard for .338 cal. It will work fine for 225 AB bullets. I wouldn't go slower twist for sure. If anything, I would go faster if you want to shoot bigger bullets at slower velocities near sea level.

Take a gander at the Shilen chart: http://www.shilen.com/calibersAndTwists.html and the Krieger chart: http://www.kriegerbarrels.com/Calibers__Prices-c1246-wp3390.htm and the Pac-Nor chart: http://www.pac-nor.com/barrels/. It looks like you can add a BUNCH of new twist rates to your list, and from there, generate a new list of bullets options. Check it out! ;)
 
Bullet length is 1.450 inches

twist table...another neat tool...hadn't a clue, thought it was all PFM up until this point
I see Pac-nor offers three or five groove barrels also. Is there an advantage/disadvatage I should know?
 
3 groove barrels are hard to come by. But some of my best barrels have been 3's. To me they seemed to foul less (maybe less friction), shoot cooler (maybe less friction), and last longer again (maybe less friction). The current barrel suppliers we use only make 5's 4's and 6's oh I think thay have an 8 too. But to get a 3 that is cut rifled is tough from what I have seen.

Pac-nor offers .338 barrels in 10, 11, 12, & 14 twists and 3, 5, & 6 groove.
I had read somewhere on the web the best twist rate was 11.25 and 12 came up on the twist calculator so will order a 12 and then also specify a 3 groove.
