Ever wonder why two different guns with everything appearing equal, don't shot the same at the same tuner setting? I measures 3 different Harrell Style Tuners, set at the same number, and all three were a different overall length.

There are other issues ... some are counter bored to various depths, and others have exterior markings that do not line up right. John
 
I got a new one today

that does not line up. I wondered if it may have been made in China. If it had been made on a CNC machine that makes all of them then one would expect everything to be the SAME, eh? I often wonder if one went to Germany and into a retail store, would most of the items there have been made in China?

I have never found a Harrell Style Tuner where the lines and number were perfect. I doubt there is a big enough market for them to have them mass produced in China

I was trying to make a funny here Fred, I didn't actually wonder if they were made in China. I have owned perhaps half a dozen Harrles tuners over the years and this is the first one I have had that did not line up. Don't think it says much for their Quality Control though

Once upon a time

Some where in the foggy recess of my mind, long ago when you pretty much had to order your tuner as a semi-custom item I recall that if you wanted the numbers to line up there was a slight extra charge.

Harrells makes all of the Hoehn and Harrell tuners in house. They are sent out for anodizing and engraving. Then the heads are screwed onto the body back at Harrells.
