Tuner Problem

I just had a new Shilen ratchet barrel installed and I did the Purdy Px for the tuner setting. My barrel length is 25.8 so my tuner length should be 3.03".
The problem is to get my tuner to 3.03" I have to turn it past the O-ring for this length. I am open for suggestions. The tuner is Harrells.
Thanks

Hi Jeff

You look to be pretty well dead on the numbers, I come up with 3.039. I agree with Jerry, try .5 weight ring. Just remember you will have to recalculate the EC.

Jeff,
If your outer shell is more than a ¼” farther out than the inner tube, you will
need to refigure the PL by using the EC for the outer shell.
Usually the outer shell of a H/H tuners are about 1.34” inside.
Try using 1.34 instead of .62 in the formula.
This will give you a physical length of 28.623 or a crown to tuner length of 2.823"

Make Sense?

What is the EC in tuner calculation?

Guys thank you for your replies and info but what is the EC? I don't want to sound stupid but I am measuring the inside of the tuner from the barrel to come
up with my 3.039 length the formula comes up with.
Thanks
Jeff
