Triple spring vs Clark quad spring

Are there advantages to the Clark 4-prong spring over a traditional triple spring? This is for a combat pistol, so reliability is paramount.

What kind of benchrest rifle uses a Clark 4 prong spring? (Just kidding)
I use them in match pistols but I would probably not put one in a carry pistol. They are intended to help prevent hammer fall with light trigger pull weight.

I lets you move the spring loading around in a 1911 and lighten the trigger a little more.
Intended for target type shootin use.
