Just like always, today (Thursday) is a beautiful September day in Carolina. Low humidity, about 79 degrees, sunny, and of course, no wind to speak of.
How's things where you are? Oh yeah, forget the weather. Who shot what?
Charles.......I'm not there, but Henry Childs e-mailed me that Ray Lowman shot a 2.8" group in heavy gun. He,(Henry) unfortunately shot on the wrong bench and at the wrong target and got DQ'd. He said his wife was in 4th. pl. Thats all I got.

Well by golly Congratulations Ray! Wow, in the 2's! That's awesome. I guess some folks will be expecting news about your sons small group too, thinking the apple doesn't fall far from the tree but these branches must spread out awful wide cause I'm guess'n Shannon didn't shoot anywhere near 2.8! Hehe.
It'll probably be a good thing you're driv'n tonight cause yer gonna be in no shape to walk! Nice shoot'n. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Probably a good thing Charles. That extra day might come in handy. I know if I shot a 2.8, it'd probably take me about 24 hours to get back down to .28
I think I goofed on that 2.8" by Ray Lowman in Heavy gun.......I believe it was light gun!
Here is the e-mail:
Rich,
After the first day my wife Nancy is 4th. overall in HG, only one match in HG so far. I shot on the wrong target from the wrong bench in HG and was DG'd. In one LG match there were only three shooters who did not DQ and they all shot good groups with Ray Lowman shoting a 2.8--".
My rifle is not shooting good groups but Nancy and I are directing most of the fire to the center of the target. Surely our groups will improve today.
talked with a shooter from PA and he gave me a partial report. About 79 shooters. Wind was brutal first day of light gun- many DQ's. Great hospitality and food.
Jon Ammerman won light gun overall and his daughter, Shannon, won light gun score.
No report on heavy gun winners.
Imagine a Pa shooter winning in windy conditions?HUH!!Congrats to DAD ,John and Shannon ,a little bumbed on the false info on Ray,that would of been tough to beat. .
