The Gallatin Gun Club hosted the IBS TN State VFS Match yesterday, August 7. We had better than usual condtions for our range for the 100 yard match and David Stubblefield took advantage of them with a 250-24x score. The mostly 250 scores when compared with earlier matches show the very good conditions.

As we moved to 200 yards, more typical Gallatin winds showed up for the rest of the day. But, Jackie Stogsdill showed us how it's done with a 250-10x and was closely followed by Keith Sharp & Greg Yanders. They also scored 1,2,3 in the GA.

Thanks very much to all who competed, especially those who drove quite a distance to be there like Danny Hensley & Ronnie Long. Y'all come back.

Great shooting guy's. A special thanks to Rick Fox, his son, and Ron Jackson and the others that helped out with the match. Hot dogs were good as usual, I think Ron's dog Harley will attest to that.

Thanks to Rick for running a great match.
I always have a good time even when I shoot poorly.

Another fine day at Gallatin, doe and fawn bounding across the lane, turkeys crossing the range, a gentle breeze that can't decide which way to blow. Rick and his crew put on a fun and efficient match. There are a couple more this summer. Come shoot with us. You'll be glad you did.

Cheers,
Keith

Congrats Jackie for hanging tough and winning the 200 and the grand. Congrats also to David Stubblefield for wining the 100 with a very fine 250-24x.--Mike Ezell

Thanks guys. But in my mind, David Stubblefield shot circles around the rest of us even though he dropped a point.

Thanks Jackie, that means a lot coming from you. I'll see you at Buck Creek.
David

Now you know that the only reason David was shooting all those X's was that it was his B-Day and he was trying to put out 60 candles.:D:eek::D
