Hi.... I am Vince Pastorella's daughter Michelle..... Some of you might know my husband Bill. He accompanied my Dad to some of the shoots in Maryland.....

I have some questions....

Is this award only going to be given out at the Bud match?
I know Bowmanstown has dedicated the season to my dad and will give out a memorial award in his honor at the end of the season.
Does anyone else know of any tributes planned?

I have to say I miss my dad terribly and our whole family is happy that everyone in the ibs is honoring him.

I can be contacted at 570-956-2891 if anyone has information.

Michelle, I'm not with the Thurmont club but the plaque will be a traveling trophy that will be awarded each year at the Bud Pryor. The winner will keep the plaque until the following year. This plaque will be awarded every year at the Bud Pryor match and I think your Dad would be pleased to be honored this way. Sorry for your loss and the loss to the sport of Benchrest. Steve

Vince

Michelle,
I am sorry for your loss. We all miss Vince. He was the reason I now shoot Hunter and it was my idea to honor him at The Bud Pryor Memorial match at Thurmont. As Steve says, it will be a traveler trophy awarded at this match.

Methinks Vince just gave you guys a little nod of appreciation.

I know that my Dad is thrilled that all of you are choosing to honor him in this way.
Me and my husband might actually attend the Bud this year. My husband is now shooting in the AR 15 class.

My father loved the sport of benchrest. I heard many stories about a lot of his fellow competitors. It was something that he loved to do....shoot and shoot the bull with all of his friends.

We all miss him alot.... Please let me know if any of you hear about any other memorials planned for him. We would like to attend as many of them as we can.

I can be contacted at 570-956-2891

If you choose to visit at the Bud this year I would suggest, if convenient make it Saturday and you are both officially invited to attend the dinner Saturday evening after the 200 yard portion of the event.
On the other hand visiting Sunday afternoon would allow you to see the award be given out for the first time.
