The New Fowler Bullets?

The New Fowler Bullets

I have tried to reach Claudia . No reply .
Once through the moderator ,once on a post.
I have a buyer waiting to purchase the equip,
Still Nothing.
Either one of two things are happening.
1 The dies are sold
2 There's a deal cooking with one of the bullet makers.
No reply one way or the other leads me to this conclusion

FOWLER Bullets - 2008 Update

I have recently purchased the assets of Jef Fowler Bullets and transferred the equipment and raw material inventory to my facility.

I shoot VFS at the Palmetto Gun Club in Summerville(Charleston), SC.

Fowler bullets and Bill Scheider

Bill,

Have you acquired ALL of the Fowler bullet-making assets including the 6PPC 66- grain ?

Tink

Fowler Bullets

:)Yes, I have all of the equipment Jef used.

We are going through a "shake down" phase to insure that the past quality of Jef's bullets can be duplicated and maintained before we offer bullets for sale.

From what I can gather, the 6mm-66gr, 6mm-80 grain were most popular with somewhat lesser volume in 30Cal-115gr for the VFS/30 BR shooters.

Any help here would be appreciated.

What interest is there and what bullets are of interest?

Hope this answers Steve's question(s) as well

Thanks,

Bill Scheider

Did you also get that phenominol 25 caliber Die that Jeff used to make the 85 grn on the .925 jacket.
If you have no interest in making 25 caliber bullets, I would love to have that die set.........jackie

Bill, a lot of folks were shooting Jef's 30 caliber 115's when they were available and I feel that they would be a good seller if they could be obtained reliable again. Jef's bullets were some of the best for a long time, I don't know if there has ever been a better 6mm bullet made than his 66's and a lot of folks feel the same way about his 30's. Let us know if and when you have them available for sale. Thanks, steve

80 grain 6mm's

Jef's 80 grain 6mm bullets also were great shooting bullets and filled a market spot that other custom bullet makers seem not to have addressed.

Fowler's bullets

Whenever the dust settles and people start making bullets with Jeff Fowler's dies, please keep the rest of us informed.

I still have some of Jeff's 80 grn. 6mm bullets, but would like more. I was going to try some of his .25 cal. before he passed on and never got a chance. Many people loved Fowler's bullets and I'm certain there will be a demand. Please keep us informed.

If Dave Tooley sees this post, the .25 caliber 110gr flat based bullets that Jef made were awesome. They work good in a medium capacity case, and can be used between 2950 and 3400 fps muzzle velocity. They need a 1:10 barrel twist. At the time only Jef and Berger made those bullets. since then Berger has now also canceled production of those bullets, but will make you a batch if you order 15,000 I think was the quote I got from Eric Stecker.

Randy Robinette has also picked up some .25 cal dies, and he sent me a sample of the 110 grain flat base that he makes, it is a bit longer, and a bit more ogive, but it works as well in a 1:10 twist Cut rifled barrel. I used them at 600 yards in an F class practice. The cartidge I used was basicly a .257 roberts improved... (our version) and I had 3250 fps muzzle velocity. 29 out of 30 shots were 10's, 17 x's, I have it on video, this is the new F class target too, Half size of the old. I love the 110 fb bullets in a .25 and I'll need more. I hope Dave, as well as Randy continue to make them.

Paul

I'll throw in on the Fowler 80 grain 6mm and the 85 grain .25s. They're both great bullets and would be great to keep around. Whoever has the dies I hope you make those two for sale.
