Give it a little while to load. There are about 160 pictures. The slideshow may get 75% thru and then need to load the rest sometimes. Sorry. It's the best I can do. We are still in Ohio and it appears internet speeds here and reliability are just like outback Australia.

I have viewed the first 20 pictures what a great un selfish thing you have done. Most people are either tuning equipment or visting friends and you are gathering history. I will look at 20 pics a day. Been busy changing my rail base from delrin guides to ball bearing guides. I have 2 rails both have the ball bearing option which I am glad to take. My one rail with wood top has a massive spring to catch the thrust of the weight after firing. My second rail is an underslung with 50 lb top now on bearings. Nothing to stop top after firing except me. Gary Ocock ask me how do they track do they both track straight. I know he is spooning me and challenge him to 2 out of 3 in the parking lot, we both wrestled in College, I still coach high school wrestling, Gary nurses his knees. Gee if Gary and myself wrestled wouldn't I take his knees out first. Gary and me are SW Shoot Directors he at Phoenix me at San Gabriel Valley Benchrest Shooters and soon to be at Angeles BR Range in So Cal.

Stuart I wanted to ask Annie and yourself shot at Visalia Range long ago, will you Shoot there again someday? Visalia is my home BR Range away from home. We shoot Unl/5 and HV this June. I really enjoy talking with Austarlian/New Zealand benchrest shooters here on BRC and at the Cactus and Nats. Good wishes for Annie and yourself Stuart.

Couldn't view the photos?

Managed to get to the web site but there was no red button as indicated in your post. Do you have to have a subscription to view the photos?

I agree, Thank You for sharing the pictures. It would have been good to get a group photo of all of the users of IMR 8208 XBR powder ........

You mean that powder that is manufactured in Australia, but they won't sell any of it here to Aussie shooters?

It appears you have the same issue that we have here in Canada except ours is with IMR. From what I gather it goes States side gets packaged then comes back up......... Great way to run a business and rack pricing up.

If I am wrong please correct me on this......

But back to the pics it would be nice to know how many are still shooting the GOOD stuff 8208 and the NEW XBR 8208.

Stephan,
Would love to go back and shoot Visalia one day. We first shot there in October 1981. Annie won her first ever trophy in Benchrest at that match. It was for the smallest group at 200 yards. A .300" which seemed fantastic back then. We visited again in 1997 but no match. Also had lunch with Dennis Thornbury during that visit. How is he going?
Cannot make your match this time round. We have some business to do with some of our suppliers over the next 10 days or so. We are taking a road trip from Kelblys across the top end to Seattle. Then fly to LA for a day or two before we fly back to AUS on June 13th.
I guess you have seen those pictures on the gallery from one of our websites. Visalia 1981. Couple of interesting things from that match. It was the first time I had ever seen barrel changing and also the first time electronic wind flags were seen! We met a lot of people who became life time friends at that match. We ended up staying a week with Walt Berger in Arizona and made some bullets on his set up which was then on 3 Rock Chucker presses in those days.
It was a real long plane flight in those days. LA to Hawai, then Fiji, then NZ and onto Sydney. About 25 hours. I recall Annie saying about the bullet making at Walt's..."that was all very interesting but...how about we just buy bullets from someone else because that looks like way too much hard work!" :D

For those who may not have seen the pictures from that 1981 match go to our website www.benchrest.com.au and then the gallery tab. These were scanned from slide photos. Everything was Kodachrome 64 in those days! (I can hear all the yungens saying "what was that?") ;)

Glad everyone liked the photos of the Super Shoot. We did these to post on the Australia forum site www.benchrestbulletin.net but then I realised no one had mentioned SS photos on Benchrest Central either so decided to add them. Glad everyone enjoyed because we enjoyed the Super Shoot....as always.

Regards,
Stuart

Great Pictures.....

In the pictures that show Donna Bizzell, The rifle that she is shooting looks like the one that was actioned off awhile back... Would that be correct.

Make sure that you wear a belt as well big boy !!!!
By the way how much did you have to pay the photographer to be in so many pictures with the ladies......
