I have a friend who builds and competes with RC planes.
The science of keeping the planes together, in trim and flyable while they're parked out in the sun definitely includes color. I won't quote anything because I don't know anything but I've heard him complaining about having to strip back or remove dark colors to replace with light colors.
My take is that the composites soak heat, get floppy, delaminate etc....... my worry wouldn't be that they would get hot enough to affect the metal parts but even "high temp" epoxies disintegrate at a low enough temp that an electrical heat gun will easily take apart anything epoxied.
I don't trust composites beyond 150-180 degrees and on a hot day in the vermint patch I've covered/moved my guns as the stocks have gotten hot in the sun.
