Sticky Bolt

I have a new 6BR with a BAT action. I'm shooting 75 Grain VMaxs and 68 grain Hammonds with 33 grains of Varget and I'm getting a sticky bolt. Nothing that I have to beat or pry on it's just very difficult to open. This load is 1.5 grains below what my gunsmith recommended. I've never had this problem with any other rifle I've owned.
What am I doing wrong.

Full length sizing your brass? If not, then do so. :)

As to following a gunsmith's load recommendation, I think that's another potential problem. Get load information from a manual, or from 6mmBR.com.

Place a bullet seated long into a sized, empty case, and chamber it. Measure the overall length, and compare that to SAAMI spec to see what's what.

TWUD,

33 grains of Varget in a STANDARD BR can be TOO much!

33.5 is "magic" in a BRX.
