source 2"-2.5" tall scope rings

I'm building some rifles which use shellholder boltfaces and I've built catches for them...... tubes into which the bolt slides instead of being thrun into the weeds.....

Consequently my "cheekpiece" is about 3/4 inches above the cl of the bore.

TALL picatinny rings stout enough for 250ftlb recoil?

I don't know of any rings that tall. There are many options at 1.5" - my preference is the Burris Signature line; the offset bushings let you center up and/or add a cant, they grip well, and they don't mark the scope tube. You can put the shorter rings on a riser rail to get the total height you're looking for.

Just an idea

Hi Al, Have you ever checked out www.leapers.com? If you have a moment go there and put in UTG AQR120 and see what pops up and look over the 20mm saddle height with 37.2 center height. I think that this means 57.2 mm or 2.251969"
Lots of options at this site.

I have not. THANK YOU I will, right now

need a little help

rsmithsr, could you give me a simple interpretation of the terminology used in Leapers descriptions so I know what they are saying.
In looking up info for AL the web site says, Saddle height and Center height? Or where I can look it up?
Thanks,
Centerfire

Maybe, I don't know for sure

Al, at Leapers look up the part No. MT-RSX1S a 1" picatiney Riser.
maybe this + the AQR120 could get you up 82.6mm or 3.251969"
Lots of options at this site just no part drawings.
Talk to you later,
