Sinclair bag wax

When using Cordura or Leather bags I've always used the 10 ounce can of KEL pure silicone, in spray form, available from Kellogg's Professional Products Inc., Sandusky, OH 45870, 1-800-334-2130. Their price is very competitive and the results have always been excellent for me. I also use stock tape. You might also try worn out dryer sheets used to soften clothes. I've seen Arnold Jewell and others use them.
Benchrest Hall of Fame member Speedy Gonzalez suggests the use of pure silicone or Rain-Ex on Cordura bags.

dont be so cheap
share it with your buddies and make new friends or
sponge off of someone else or
sell parts of it off and make most of your money back, or
quit shooting, geeze the stuff works and folks are moving away from kel so decide whether you want to use it or play with residue on your stock,
(and for those actually shooting br and not just talking about it if you share a bench with others and share a front rest the residue goes onto the buddies stock so see what he wants to do, the KEL screwed up my tracking when following another shooter who raved about it---he lost miserably bythe way)

Something that works great
is hBN. Sprinkle on a very small amount and enjoy. No mess, stays where you apply it, and is slicker than a new born baby's butt!

Pure silicone (such as KEL) never ends up on a stock if you use stock tape. The tape acts as a barrier between the stock and the silicone. The silicone is easily wiped off the tape if it builds up or you can always replace the tape. I would suggest that if some people are moving away from KEL it's only because most vendors sell very small cans for a high price. If you go directly to the source, Kellogg's Professional Products, and buy larger cans the price comes down considerably. Pure silicone, Cordura or Leather, and stock tape, make for a nice slick surface. Speedy actually shot BR, that's why he's in the Hall of Fame. I've always found it prudent to use my own equipment when competing. No surprises that way.

when ou travel and want to get along at a new range and when the "old guys" B**** about having tro move their equipment.
anyway back to the point you can also use a auto wax with carnuba, just polish it a few times, some of the new stocks (robertson JTR-BR to name my design, is finished so slick it is hard for anything to stick, try it you will like it)
the carnuba wax is good but about 10 bucks a can for good stuff and you use so little

Wow!!! You've certainly got a point about Sinclair Bag Wax. At $16.90 for a 2 ounce Shaker Bottle that amounts to $135.20 a pound (8X16.90)! hBN only sells for $79 and $90 a pound or $9.88 per 2 ounces or $11.25 per 2 ounces. Here's a source if you want to try it: Lowerfriction.com. The only draw back, with this company, is that it looks like you have to order it by the pound. Another Option
I've tried dryer sheets,wax,silicon,baby powder,deodorant,boron nitride and a few others and they all suck big time.
If you want your gun to glide in the bags put the stock tape on it then put the blue backing material that comes on it in your bag.I use it on a 65 pound heavygun and nothing else comes remotely close.

I bought a bottle of the bag wax from Sinclair last year. First guy to use it in Alberta. It will last me the rest of my life and that is including losning it to the rest of the Alberta shooters (until they got their own) most of the year! I only need a small amount and it will last for the whole match. I find that if I don't use it sparingly it is too slippery! Even at the price of fuel now I spend way more on gas going to one match than I will ever spend on bag wax in a lifetime!
