Who will consider this scope for long range? The release of the new scope is still pending. Probably will not be before December though. Wonder how it will compare against the March?

March vs. Sightron

We'll have to wait until the Sightrons come out to make a comparison. I will probably be buying the Sightron. I have looked through a March and it's a great scope but I think in terms of needing service down the road. Even the best of optical or mechanical devices can fail. With that in mind, the Sightron would be my choice. The price differential between the two will probably be enough to offset any loss in optical clarity, resolution, etc.

Sounds interesting

I will probably buy one if they are as good as the other Sightrons I've
seen.:D I like the varible scopes, and the 10-50X for $1,000 sounds almost
too good to be true.

They sound great, guys that use Sightron seem to really like them. IMHO If I was dropping a grand plus shipping I would nose around for a used Nightforce. If Nightforce would drop the illuminated reticle on their BR scopes and make a more traditional reticle. I think they would be the scope to beat.
I think we need a company like Premier to boost some scopes back. Picture a 6.5-20LR boosted to 14-45X. That would be the ticket. Dare to dream. Next rifle will be a looong range groundhog smaker Tacticool type rifle. The scope will be a 6-24power Sightron with a 30mm tube. Go Sightron I hope they turn out as good as planned.
