Scope ring question.......

I need to change to 30mm rings . I have the Davidson s /Kelbys base.2 piece. On a neiska j action.
I'm thinking of getting kelbys rings or harrels.
Should these rings be lapped?

I've owned at least 15 pairs of Kelbly rings including 1", 30MM, & 34MM and I've had zero trouble with any of them. I've never had to lap them. I've never owned a set of Harrell's rings so I couldn't tell you anything about them.

I use both brands of rings. Both dont really need lapping per se but needs to be deburred on the edges to not mark the scope and torque properly and evenly
