Scope light for lining up flags

I got this idea from Jerry Hensler, and I know some of you have seen these but I thought Id share this for those who havent. Its an easy and inexpensive way to line up your flags. You line your rifle up with your target and put the LED flashlight(9led from Harbor frieght $3.00) with adapter on your eyepiece, then look back at the scope while setting your flags and when you see the light center up in the scope then your perfectly in line with the rifle and target. The one I have here goes inside the eyepiece(I only had 1 1/2b"delrin) I would have built it to go on the outside if I had a bigger delrin rod. I machined mine out of 1 1/2" delrin but Im sure theres plenty of other ways to make one. This setup works well out to 200 yards(havent tried it further yet) and is safe on the eyes of you and your fellow competitors

Interesting. Any issues in the vertical direction? In other words, do you have to stoop down to get in the proper plane to see the light in the scope?

I see you are from Texas, so it must work in the bright sun. When I set my flags by myself they look like Moses was wandering in the desert, they are over the field. This would really help with alignment. One more trip to set the vertical. Now if I can find some one with a lathe!!!! Don
