Does anyone know what scope base, other than a Kelby, will fit on the Kelby Atlas action? Supposed to be a Rem 700 short action clone but its drilled different than a 700. Thanks

The answer to that question can best be attained from Kelbly.

Wrong, There answer is " Im sure there is something else that fits it but we don't know what it is but here, we know ours will work"

Here is what I used on mine, if you don't mind two piece bases. Buy two sets of Weaver's for the Rem 700 and just use the front ones or Sinclair sells them individually. Either way its about the same price.

Has a completely different screw pattern than a 700, farther apart.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but either pay the price for the Kelbly bases or buy a base blank and have a competent gunsmith drill it to fit your action. And while you are at it, bed the base(s), no matter which you buy, to the action.

Thanks David, Its not the price of the Kelby base its one I don't like being told by Kelby its a Remington 700 clone when the ONLY thing clone about it is it will slide down in a 700 stock and take a 700 trigger and the kelby base and rings have to be the ugliest I have ever seen. I also don't like them being aluminum. Def going to bed.

Unless they have changed something VERY recently.....I used the Fronts (short action) from two Leupold base sets that I already had (part number 57488). A friend at the club built a gun last year with a Kelbly Atlas and just bought two Front (short action) bases from Sinclair. Screw patterns matched.

I did a quick check and Kelblys offers this in a long action as well, the holes will be different from the short action.

Thanks for all the help guys. I spoke with Eon Kelby this afternoon. I had received some mis information from a new employee of which he apologized and has corrected the problem internally. I now also have the proper base headed this way.

I think that's pretty much the definition of a Remington Clone?

Probably needs to take a Remington bolt as well, to be a clone. And the screw holes in the stock line up with the action...

BTW, the Predators are the same, with respect to scope bases. Two Remington "fronts."

On all the Remington clone actions I've seen, the front receiver ring is on the same plane as the rear bridge. This is a good thing and glad that they didn't copy Remington's lower rear bridge. I've the factory Remington bridge cause lots of problems with mounting scopes.
