Scharnhorst wins Buffalo

I talked to Sharnhorst on his way home and he said the first place trophy had a button on the side that if you pushed would say " I beat Larry Baggett, I beat Larry Baggett. Now that is a little much don't you think. I've known Baggett for 25 years and I retract my last statement. If I heard right, Baggett was second. Great shooting to all the winners. Conditions today were tough. That is according to the Larry that beat the Other Larry.
 
Dr. Tim provided the trophy with the button on the side that when pushed had a siren go off inside the box. The box had a brass plate engraved with " I beat Baggett" on the front of it, don't remember whether it had "Like a rented mule" on it or not. At any rate, Sharny beating Baggett as well as all the rest of us was quite an accomplishment as the tails were pretty well straight out for a majority of the match at 200.

The Baggett trophy is kind of a back handed compliment to Larry as he has probably won more Buffalo Shoot's than any other shooter and if he didn't win it, he was pretty close to winning them as he probably has as many 2nds in it as Pat Byrne had at the Nationals.

I was talking to Larry the day before he left. I told him, "whatever you do, don't peak out in Midland, save yourself for the Nationals!" I even went so for as to say, "If it looks like you might win it, "Throw-off" on the last target"! He never did listen to any of my advise!

John hasn't figured all the totals yet, but Charles had enough lead on everyone that it would have been hard for anyone to have caught him especially with Jackie staying home due to the hurricane hitting Houston. Charles had a 15 point lead on Jackie who was in 2nd going into the Buffalo. He had about a 60 point lead on Jay Lynn. Unofficial results are below, we'll know for sure when John gets everything totaled up.
