Savage Palma Rifle - Barrel Break In

I just received my new Savage Palma rifle in 308 caliber and will take it out for the first time next week. I would appreciate thoughts on breaking in the barrel - my standard on a new rifle has been to clean after every round for the first 10 rounds - then clean after every 5 rounds for 20 or so rounds and then consider it good to go.

Thoughts are appreciated.
