Savage 12 Benchrest Scope Base(s)

Hi Folks

I have a Savage 12 Benchrest in 6mm BR on order. I read somewhere that it comes with 2 piece scope bases (Weaver, perhaps?). Not sure if it actually does, and if it does, are they a 20MOA setup? I have written to Savage Support, but no answer from them as yet.

I already have a 2014 Nightforce Competition 15-55x52 scope and Nightforce rings for it, but I want to make sure I have a correct base in hand when I take delivery of the rifle.

savage may not even know if you talk to 48 people. i'd say get a known base and start over, may not be too many answers here try the factory rifle forum or the savage forum

I wrote to EGW and they recommended this one:

So I ordered it this afternoon. This is the same one I am using on my Savage 10FCP HS Precision, and it's worked great for me on that rifle.

EGW is always my choice on those factory type guns

I did hear from Savage Arms Tech Support. They don't supply any bases with the target rifles.
