Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held there first Score match of the year today and 7 hardy souls showed up to battle the Winds of the Ione Triangle.
This match was shot under the UBR format with 4 targets at 100 followed by 4 targets at 200. Conditions were actually fairly benign for the first couple of targets,
Mid 40's mild flutter out of the North slowly picking up as the morning progressed.
Greg Wilson finished in 1st with a nice 260, followed by Steve Epstien in 2nd with a 258, Steve Raeder a close 3rd with a 257.
We moved the frames to 200 as the wind continued to pick up, as witnessed by the somewhat more conservative scores.
Greg finished where he left off at 100 by snagging 1st place with a 245, Steve E. again taking 2nd in a tiebreaker over Michael Taner who finished 3rd both with 243's.
Special mention to new shooter Craig Addly who joined us and finished 4th at 200 with a competitive 240, and also finished 4th overall. Welcome aboard!
We finished 200 just in time for the wind to really pick up, it was blowing the frames over as we were putting them away.
