BOB DORTON MEMORIAL FOUR GUN
Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters
Sacramento Valley Shooting Center, Sacramento CA
After canceling April and May, we finally got to shoot a match with Covid restrictions.
Turnout was on the small side.

On a sad note, the match is dedicated to Bob Dorton, who passed away last Nov 30th.
He was one of the founding members of the Sac Valley Shooting Center and a staple at the range. Bob helped maintain the range and was there to help us at every Benchrest match. He was an all around great guy and a fun competitor to shoot with. Bob will be greatly missed.
The Bob Dorton Memorial four gun was all four guns at 100 and 200 yards

In June we shot the 100 part
We started with the Sporter 100 and Steven Raeder shot a .173 for small group, and Greg Wilson won with a .2596
Then we went to LV, where Ron Pepper put on a BR clinic. Ron shot all five small groups 208-176- 184- 210-223 for a .2002 Agg . A teen Agg is very rare on the Sac range and very hard to shoot with the conditions we have there.
Sunday, we started with HV, where Henry Pinkney came alive. Henry shot the small group with a .139 and went on the win with a .2426 Agg
In the afternoon we shot UNL, where some small groups were shot. 193 – 217 – 113 – 215 – 272, the 113 was shot by Dan Lutke, but the winner was Henry Pinkney with a .2788 Agg
The overall 100 yard champ was Greg Wilson with a .3113 combined Agg

We shot the 200 yard part 4th of July weekend, and it was hot, got to 100 degrees on Sat and 95 on Sunday

HV 200 small group was a .311 by Francis Lee, but the winner was Steve Epstein with a .2704 Agg
