Rim too thick

I got some RWS 7x57 brass to make some good 6mm Rem and 6mm AI brass on close-out at Natchez. I have done this before with Norma brass. The RWS has a rim too thick to fit into my shellholders. I have a couple of different ones that fit the 0.473 case head (Lee, Redding, RCBS) but it want go into any of them. How on earth do you turn a shellholder down? Are there special shellholders for this thicker rim brass?

tiny, a bigger problem you may have is will this thicker rim fit under the extractor? Don't know what action you have or what type extractor you have but have you checked it yet?

haven't checked the extractor

This brass will be made for several rifles. Rem 700s and Savages (stevens) I have a couple of Savage/Savage actions that are switch barrels. They wake up every other morning wearing a different barrel.

Never considered this. Thanks for pointing that out. Until I get one necked down, I don't think I can check it.

You boys with then Savages!:D Makes me so envious.

tiny, you may have to remove your ejector plunger but if you remove your bolt you should be able to snap a casing in the casehead and see if it clears. Maybe?
