Got a new rifle ordered. Remington VTR. Was looking for a .223 bolt with a 1 in 8 twist its a 1 in 9 so I could shoot the same load I shoot in my ARs they are all 1 in 8. Im shooting a Sierra Matchking 69 gr. and CFE-223 about 28 or 29 FPS. I didn't pay any attention that it was a triangle barrel. All I was looking at was the twist. Do you guys know anything about a triangle barrel? Ill know a little more about them in a week or so. It looks like it needs to be put on a lathe and turned down. Doug

Actually the hammer forged 700 VTR barrel/chamberings shoot quite well for what they are.
The tupperware stocks leave alot to be desired.
The barrel port slots are FUGLY as they appear to have been cut w/ a chop saw!

I have one in .308 it shoots .75ish with Federal 168 ammo. I like it. Slapped on a NF and shoot it just plinking around.

Didn't really care about the barrel or the brake, the gun shoots good for a stock gun.
