remington 700 bolt

I am sending a 700 bolt to have a tactical bolt knob installed. How much should I insure the bolt for?

They often sell for $125-$150. I'd insure it for that plus labor to true it. $200 would be about right and is what I usually insure them for.
 
There are proven modifications that can be accomplished to your 700 than adding a Louisville Slugger baseball bat to the end of the handle.
Adding weight/extensions is not the answer.

Two finger bolt manipulation is the answer!

Following your theory a few drops of sourwood honey on the bolt handle will at least allow you to lick your thumb and finger after the shot and brag how sweat your gun is shooting.

Plus it allows you a better grip.

Need product for advanced testing !!

I'll skip the tactikool knob part & just use two fingers as the required tools.
