Got a 223 and thinking about Rechambering to ??
What can I do to save this barrel . Thinking about 222 or 22-250

What Would I save it from ? Jerry That was not the Question now was it .
I would like to know what I can do ? It,s ok if you don,t know .
I just ask thinking someone would know the calibers that will work with the bolt & barrel ?

Jerry call me and we can talk .

That's the way I read it. "What can I do to save this barrel".

Two ways at least to interpret the question. One would be to save it from the trash bin and the other would be an attempt to bring a "shot out" barrel back to acceptable...if only for a moment.

22-250 won't work with the bolt. The 222.5 would be a choice along with the 222 and 222 Mag.

It,s a new barrel with a bad chamber ?
It,s in 223 I have other 223,s and thinking I may chamber this barrel to a different Cal if I can ?

You could have the threads cut off and rechambered in .223 or .223 Ackley which is a good caliber, easy to form, and could save the barrel. A .222 or .222 Ackley would also work with that option.

You'll end up with a barrel that's a bit shorter that might not fit the barrel channel in the stock as well if that's important to you.
