As I mentioned earlier I am just getting in:confused::confused:to benchrest for score. I have most of my equipement now (some in transit) but I am realy confused when it comes to rear bags Any advice???? ( right handed, rb lp panda, kelb's stock, baldeagle rest w/ windage)

I think the first thing you need to decide is if you are going to be a gag squeezer of knob turner.
Since you have a windage top maybe you have made the decision to be a knob turner.

If that is the answer then you might want to look at the Gator bags.

I like the original Gator but have recently gone back to bag squeezing so I use a Bald Eagle rear bag with an Otto Stabalizer.

PS if you get a gator make sure the ears are wide enough to let your stock settle to the bag.

Gator Bag

CaptBill, I have a Gator bag I will sell you, filled with heavy sand. I will be at Black Creek and so will the bag. Hope to see you there.

You said Rear Bags right ? ....

I am realy confused when it comes to rear bags Any advice ????

When it comes to rear bags at a reasonable price look here: http://www.protektormodel.com/ and here:http://www.sebcoax.com/sebrearbag.asp.

Protektor will make you any bag you want. They even sell heavy sand if that's all you need. I have several of their bags, front and rear. All leather and leather with Cordura ears.

If money is no object, try the one and only Edgewood at this link: http://www.edgebag.com/catalog.html.

Need to know how to fill them properly you say? Speedy's got some advice for you: http://benchrest.netfirms.com/Filling Sandbags.htm.

What other kinds of sand can you use? Read this: http://www.6mmbr.com/sandcomparison.html.

Hope this helps! Art :)
