Anyone know what freebore I need for a 7mm saum with the hornady 180 eld match? I called PTG, called back...got three different freebores from them .180, .220 and .230.
After some other research I am guessing it is more around 0.265 . I arrived at this from guys who chambered 284 for this bullet and the freebore ended up being approx 0.290- 0.295 . With the 7mm saum having approx 0.03 longer neck I thought 0.260- o.265 would be about right.
Does this make sense to you guys or am I missing something ?
