Reamer choices in 6 BR

My understanding is that there are numerous finish reamers in various dimensions for the 6BR. I am going to chamber a krieger rem varmint profile barrel in 8 twist for the 107 SMK over lapua brass. No turn neck. is there a standard spec reamer? also I would appreciate some input as to powder choice.

Thank You, Bingo

6BR reamer(s)

The standard now for a no-turn 6BR chamber neck seems to be .272" if you have a supply of the thicker (.0135") Lapua. If you'll be using the newer Lapua at .0125" neck walls, then your reamer dimension could be .270". Anything smaller with either would require at least a light clean-up cut. If you called Pacific Tool & Gauge and spoke with Dave Kiff giving him the bullet you want to use, ( I also use the 107 SMK in both 8 twist 6BR & 6BRX) he can put that bullet into his optical comparator and give you the exact amount of freebore required. When I spec my reamers I also specify the chamber over-all-length at .010" longer than max case length, for the 6BR, a length of 1.570". I have always used Varget in both the BR & BRX, and see no need to change.
