RCBS 55000 die set

I got these along with case forming and trim dies. All seem to be for the 6mm Int. as that is what is stamped on the label.
I have a few cases made from old .250-3000 Savage brass and the dies produce a cartridge with a long neck and does not appear to be "just resized" to 6mm.
Do I have dies for the Donaldson or Walker cartridge?

Thank you, Mel

Mel,

I've formed a lot of cases, up/down/sideways making cases bigger/smaller/longer/shorter, I've bought dies, modified dies, made dies and used dies to make brass for chambers not marked on the dies. I know that I _can_ help you understand what you've got..... but I have no idea what you're asking here.

better description?

If I recall correctly, the 55000 is a custom set, that includes a die to ream the inside of the case neck. Current fashion is to not do that, but take all the material off from the outside.

Depending on how it's done, I don't agree, and went through bloody hell making a die to ream the inside of the case neck for one of my wildcats -- actually, to "bore" it, as I didn't want the reamer to just follow the hole.

As for the chambering you have, whether the Walker or another, you'll need to provide measurements & someone here will have enough books to look it up. Or maybe you already have books that show the variants?

Except for the hassle of making cases, it is a nice mid-size 6mm chambering.
