Ranges that shoot across a creek.

How many ranges for registered shoots have part or all of the benches that shoot across a small creek?

Gallatin shoots across a creek, depending on the weather. Usually, it's dry, but back in May, it was about 4' wide and 2' deep.

AS I recall:

The Range @ Jackie Stodgdill's place was shot over a creek although it was dry when I was here.

Oak Hill Gun Club shoots across a creek. The creek lies between our 100 yard berm/targets and the 200 yard berm/targets.
We have 6 NBRSA matches (Group) per year. There is always water in the creek which is 8-10 feet wide with usually 6" water flow unless a recent rain.

That would be when shooting 300 yards @ Buckcreek, and I remember splashing through it to get my flags at the money shoot back in the spring.

A fella told me once...................

he saw something on tv about shooting across a body of water at targets was a real challenge, more than not shooting over water. I don't remember if he said where he saw it.
 
The reason I ask is....I'm building a range for registered shoots and after getting the major dirt work done (so I thought). I had a guy come in and shoot the range. Well I was off a few degrees and the last five benches would be shooting across a small creek that's about 8' wide, 4' deep with about six inches of continuous water running. I didn't know whether or not this type of creek would effect the shooter much but even if the water didn't, I decided that it could really effect the wind so I decided to move the whole creek (650yds of it) to one side of the valley. Another 3-4grand. But it keeps shooters from shooting across the creek and also allows for more expansion (up to maybe 40 benches) in the future. I'll have 15-25 benches done next spring. The number is dependant upon weather and money.

Where is your range and are there any shoots remaining this year?
