I've tried several times to load pictures from Photobucket using the url. Each time I get an error message that states " Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file". Anybody else encounter this problem?

My pics post nice on here but i host my own images...

If you would like to consider something new....
The easiest way i have found to post pics for the average user is go here:

http://www.postimage.org/

Find the pic on your computer,
then upload your pic...
then -click the size you want your pic to be to be... (640x480 or click 800x600)
then click upload
it jumps to the next page so just copy the html code from the 5th box down and paste it in your post..
walla your done!! nothing to join, no password to remember -it's very easy.... joe

Jerry, when you are on your Photobucket album, hover over the pic you want to post. It will bring up four boxes with options. Left click on the bottom one (IMG code). Now, on BRC......left click the Insert Image icon (the one that looks like a snapshot of a tree). You'll see a quick flash when you do this. Now, right click and select 'paste'. The image code will appear in your post. If you preview the post, you'll see the image.

If you need any more help, let me know. Hope this helps. -Al

Here, from Photobucket, is the "Img" code just pasted into the reply box. Don't need to use the buttons at the top, just paste it into the box because it already has the "Img" formatting built into it.

This is the new BR caliber, 16x45; looks like it would be a killer caliber for score shooting. Make sure you purchase plenty of powder in one lot, it uses 540 pounds per shot. Do try to keep the sighters to a minimum. The main advantage of this new caliber is you don't have to go to the range, just shoot the match from where ever you happen to be.

Well spoken Al, you have a ton of recent experience posting pics too.

I have posted a few pics on the net also.... the last ten years i have posted well over 10,000 pics to the web. I use my on web sites to host my pics..... joe

Tom, thanks for pointing out an easier way to upload a pic from the 'bucket. -Al

P.S. I'm not sure if that barrel profile fits IBS or NBRSA rules.....

It also takes a 60 man team to work the rooms beneith that turret, not to mention the CIC and Fire Control Computer room. It would be nice to see 60+ guys at a Score match though! Just not on the same bench!

I am curious how much barrel are you going to need to cut off to get total unit weight under the 13.5 pounds limit?

Dick

Uhhh, 57 feet?

No size problems with this method because the picture isn't hosted on BR.com. If you load on photobucket, it will cut the picture down to a predetermined size, my selection is the picture will be sized to 1024 pixels on the longest size, there are bigger and smaller options. The file size on the shot above (determined by Photobucket) is 160K, a good size for websites. The original of the image is roughly 6000X4000 and 36 MB, a little large for dialup. ;-)
