I think I remember it. Weren't they using the old SAKO ballon head cases?

I bet your speaking of the Bill Ziek Test on the new 220 Russian Lapua brass when it was first brought into the country by us. That should have been around 1992 or 1993. Unfortunately today the brass is no where near the quality of the brass back then.

Yeah, that was some really good brass! Keith Gantt and I went to a fellow's house to buy some bullet dies and he had about 10K of those cases. We tried to buy them but he knew what they were worth and actually asked a bit more. We didn't buy them but I have wished a number of times that we had.

the test i remember was shooting lapua brass in two chambers, a lapua chamber and a norma chamber,
and shortly there after someone pointed out the error of the test.

Test I was referring to was just on brass quality of the new Lapua 220 Russian. Almost positive no firing was done in the test.
