Ok we're trying out for the first time a 6Br, just getting set up
i like to hear what the best 5 in any order.. powders you'all would recommend
or any special loads you use...
i've got heavy 20" ss 14tw
Lupua cases, 7 1/2 rem br
70,75, an 80gr bullets
max range 500yrds

thanks

I mostly use N 135. The longer bullets with the 1-14 Twist may not be stable.

6BR powder

Bill Ohio is right: a tremendous amount of loading info on the 6mmBR web-site, 6BR info page. Click-on & start reading. Their listed load with the 95 gr. Berger VLD and 31.5 grs. of Varget is a consistant "winner" in my 1-8 twist. My standard "light bullet" load for two 1-14 twists is 30 grs. of N133 w/ the ever reliable 68 gr. Berger seated to touch. Mid weight from 70 to 85 gr. gets the before mentioned N135, and Varget is used for the "heavies". Very easy ctg. to load for: no tricks or black magic required.

6 BR website

Is down for upgrades at this time .The site MAY be up by the end of the weekend. You cannot register till the upgrade is done.

6BR loads

MrGee: RogerT is correct, the site is down (since last Tuesday). The August 2009 issue of "Handloader" magazine includes a very good article on loads for the 6BR, the majority being the "light" bullet type, from 55 to 80 gr. Article by Charles Petty with a new Savage mdl 12 F-Class single-shot.

well thanks guys for the input... i've read a few of the articals an did see the bullet/powder choice ... as in my area we are limited to what we can buy.. powder an primer choices, well i don't i have to expand on that.. thus the reason for asking for 5 in non order options of powder
anyways it will be fun doing with i have on hand..

:)
