Pet Loads for 20BR

I am having trouble finding a good load for my 20BR; I have tried various powders and seating depths, but always seem to get a couple of flyers. My groups average about 3/4 inch, I seem to always get 2-3 bullets touching and a couple of flyers at random . My gun is Rem 700 with a Shilen 1:12 Twist. I have not shot it in a couple of years. Any suggestions would be appreicated.

In my 20BR I have only used V V powders, mostly N135. My barrel is a 1-11 twist Bartlein. Yours being a 1-12. I would not try anything more than a 40gr. bullet.
My powder charge when I started was 31.0grs. of N135, found out that the primmers createred somewhat so I backed off to 30.8grs of n135, with 39gr. Sierra's and groups were good in the low .2's. Nosler 40gr. Bal. Tip. were next and they did not group as well but, good enough. Next was Hornaday 40gr. V-Max and they also were not as good as the Sierra's.
As for seating depth each rifle will be different, Barrel/action!
I have tried seating depths (with a bullet comparator) from 2.268 to 2.255.
It seems like my my barrel likes 2.261 C.O.A.L. the best!
My Velocities ave. 4064fps in a 26.5 barrell length.
Hope I have helped?

I'd suggest using a BERGER 35 grain for the 1:12 twist
Try H4198... (my 1:11 with Berger 40's is my pet load)
My 20PPC & 20TAC both have 1:12 twists and shoot the Berger 35 very well.
The 20PPC likes Benchmark
The 20TAC likes W748 and even more RAMSHOT/TAC

You'll have to experiment ...
The 32 VMax would also be a great bullet.
I've also had success in the 20PPC with the Berger 30 using H4198

My 20BR likes H322 and Ramshot XTerminator. I started load development at 38.0gr of either and worked up from there with the original Hornady 33gr. Accuracy was excellent with either, but XTerminator burned a little cleaner, important for long strings in a dog town.
