A pending heavy gun score record shot in Camp Butner, NC today by a gentleman by the name of Mike Wilson a redneck from GA. I met him in 2006 at the 1000yd nationals in NC.
He's been a great friend ever since, and i'm very proud to see him shoot this score record.
Because he works hard at it and there's nobody any more deserving. Congratulations Mike.
We'll see you next year.

IT was a10 match score of aproximatly 93.2 which should be better than the current record .

Congrats Mike! It could not have happened to a better fellow.

You are talking I. B. S. Or Camp Butner Record am I correct! Because the record for ten match score is 96.2 held by Matt Kline.

Joe, it would be an IBS record.

For those who aren't intimate with these records, the IBS *aggs* are a lot different than with the NBRSA. IBS 1,000 yard shooting began with Pennsylvania's rules. Under those, there are 10 matches a year, all at the same range of course. So a 10-match agg is all the targets shot during a year, all at the same range. You don't get to throw any out, you don't get to shoot some at a different range.

A 6-match agg is your best 6 out of a possible 10 targets, again, all at the same range. It could happen that you set a 6-match record only firing 8 matches a year. But not a 10-match agg. For that, you have to shoot them all. In a lot of ways, with so many IBS clubs now, it is a bit confusing. But it is a part of our history.

And yes, with Mike Wilson, you can truly say it couldn't have been done by a nicer guy.

Edit: so as not to step on anymore toes, I'll allow it is *possible* someone else is just as nice. Just not nicer.

Baron's got it right. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Very nice shooting Mike. And I'll buy ya an "Accuriz'n Fluid" next time we see each other.

Well a West Va redneck congratulates a Ga redneck so this NC redneck has to do the same. There is not a more unselfish competitor in our sport and this was demonstrated by Mike's actions at Butner Saturday during our match. All I can say is thanks Mike. The record could not go to a more deserving person or competitor
