Weeing how i have the rifle and am working on loads, i am looking a future brass supply.
what i have today is norma, but might add some lapua if i can get some good user in put.
So what say to the quality of the 222 brass ??

I just pulled a couple of new pieces out of an old cardboard box. They both measured .0115 (reading off if the main scale not the vernier) all the way around both necks with my neck mic. They are probably harder at the head than your Norma, which I seem to remember was slightly soft but excellent. The really old Lapua .222 used to me made for them (in Germany I think). It had small flash holes, but since they started making it themselves, it has standard sized flash holes. Excellent brass, what I prefer. I think that you will like it.

I used it in UBR competition for about 4 seasons. I had no problem or lost cases. I thought it was good stuff. I had/have some old Norma cases and it seems that at the time I thought Lapua was better, but I don't recall what gave me that impression.

YMMV,
Rick

Use it a lot

I have a .222 that used to be my bench rest rifle. Rebuilt it with a hunter class stock and use it as a bunny buster now. I run a tighr neck chamber and the Lapua brass has a thick enough neck to turn. I run a reasonably stout load and the brass seems to last forever. That 50 might just shoot out the barrel.
