old barrels

I am starting a project and wanted to know if you guys are willing to donate old barrels to an experiment. I need 10-20 27" or longer .224-.284 bore dia. barrels that have been shot out. I am willing to pay shipping but will not be purchaseing old barrels so you will not be making any $$$ but your will not lose any either. Your old barrel will be going to a good cause and may be even given new life if all works out. I am hopeing to extend the life of the barrels and bring them back to the prime grouping capability. I know this is a longshot but I am willing to try it anyway. Thanks and if intrsted instead of throwing that old barrel away I'll do some testing with it.

its an odd request I know but thought I would put it out there and see what comes of it.
 
Don't think you're gonna' get much response Brandon.... unfortunately the folks who shoot long barrels don't exactly burn through them.

Thanks Butch for the kind words I do appreciate the support you have given me and can't thank you enough. I kinda had the idea this request would be a little much but I decided to throw it out there anyway. Al and Charles I agree 100% and know you are telling the truth believe me. These barrels are not cheap and definately not scrap. I have a collection already of old barrels and have only been shooting competition for 3 years and one year I only shot 2 matches. Anyway I thank you for the responses and I am going to just start on what I alread have then try to do the testing over a longer period of time which is no big deal because I am busy with customer work and testing has to wait until I slow down a bit.
