Hello,
I am new to the forums and very impressed. I know this thread is pretty old but I thought I would reply anyway. I have a new X Mark Pro trigger and lightened it myself after some research. It still breaks very clean and virtually has no creep. Hopefully this will help someone.
Here is how I did it.
I removed the stock from the action and barrel assembly. With the barrel facing to the left and the trigger facing up there is only one screw you have to adjust. (See attachment for placement of screw). Now you have to remove the factory locking compound. I used a dental pick I picked up from a swap meet. Insert a 1/16" Allen wrench and turn counter clockwise. (Make sure you count your turns) I backed mine out two turns. I don’t have the exact pull weight but I will post it when I get my scale back from my buddy.
When done, assemble your rifle, Clear your action (I know you did it before you started but double check) now with the rifle ready to fire, hold it by the barrel and smack the butt stock on the ground to make sure it does not misfire.
Again! Hopefully this helps somebody
