new 6PPC reamer freebore

Gday gentlemen,
This is my first post here, so here goes. Im new to the benchrest scene but long to target shooter just not in competition. I acquired a used 6PPC with a barrel of about 2000 rounds through it. I want to buy a new reamer to use for the new barrel but i dont really know what freebore to get. The bullets im using are made on a .825 jacket with a 8 ojive and are 67gn FB. Id be using lapua 220 russian brass. Id like the projectile to be seated at least 1/8" to 3/16" or 3-5mm into the neck.
Any thoughts on this subject?

A good range would be
0.035 to 0.060
This may vary depending if you want to jump or jam the bullets.
Feed your previous information to your gunsmith and get his recommendation.
If he is also a competitive shooter his recommendation would be my deciding factor.
Just remember some of the information may be worth just what you pay for it!!!
Everyone has an opinion--some opinions carry more weight than others.

Another thoughts
1.)Contact your bullet maker and see what other shooters that shoot that bullet are using (with Success).
2.) contact you reamer maker--Get his recommendation

Don't worry about how deep the bullet sets in the neck of the case.
The "Sweet Spot" will be the distance from the bullet olgive to the lands that your rifle likes the best.
That will be determined by testing/load development.

I agree with CLP. Don't get too caught-up in how much base is in the neck. I'm shooting a 67 grain FB on 0.820 jackets. The reamer is a JGS 1046 (just a 1045 with a 0.264" neck). It is ground with 0.060" free bore and has shot well. As CLP says, you should be fine between say 0.035 and 0.060.

Just order a standard, run of the mill, 6PPC reamer with whatever neck size you think best. I don't think you can do better than that. AND...I'm not a gunsmith!
