Iam new in Bench Rest shooting, this is what i have:

Bat Action 6 mm PPC
Krieger Barrel .262 NK, 13.5 Twist
Lapua .220 brass
6mm Bart's Custom Bullets 68gr Flat Base Hollow Point
VihtaVuori N 133

Need some input in recommended charge for fire forming the brass...:)

If...

you don't want to burn up your precious 133 on fireforming you can use Benchmark. It too will get the job done. Just fill the case to the bottom of the neck and let her rip. Bro.D

Use 26 grains N133 and seat the bullets long. Also lightly oil the cases before you fireform, then swab the chamber with lighter fluid or some kind of degreaser after you are done fireforming. The rounds will be hard to chamber, but that's ok. Bolt lift will be easy after they are fired.

Oil

Hey Steve
I guess I have not heard of anybody putting a light coat of oild on the round before chambering it..
The real purpose is to ??

Not Oil.

I put a thin film of sizing wax on the case so that the case walls will not adhere to the chamber walls to such an extent that the case doesn't reach the bolt face, resulting in a short case.

This can happen, as quite a bit of the energy of the powder burn is expended in forming the brass to the exact shape of the PPC Chamber........jackie
