Need a pilot bushing rack/holder/tray/case

My method of storing and organizing bushings needs to be upgraded. What do you guys use to hold all your bushings?

I am thinking a reloading block type unit inside a clear plastic case but would guess the bushings would be difficult to lift out of the holes. Fishing tackle type plastic cases are usually crap and certainly wouldn't have enough compartments. I keep my reamers etc in the house due to the weather conditions and don't want to have a cabinet drawer for these.

Cheers,

go look at sewing boxes ...some have rods that hold bobbins and spools of thread....
you would not need the whole box, just remove the trays and put in a smaller box.

I use loading blocks and blocks I have made just for the bushings. Each bushing is in a capped plastic tube, with a sticky label on the tube indicating the size. Back when I was heavy into chambering I purchased a box full of the tubes and caps from Dave Kiff/Pacific Tool.

That big open flat space in the top of a big Kennedy Tool Box? This is where the bushings are stored in their blocks. Will take a pic later.

My solution for protecting and storing the pilot bushings for reamers. Sorted by bore size. Note the Speer box on the right: Remember the yellow plastic tubes with a red cap for making shot loads for your 38? Perfect for storing the smaller bushings.

I have a 1/4" aluminum plate. Drill a row of holes and press in .062" pins. Make a row of pins for ea. caliber. I do this for my neck sizing bushings as I have them from 17cal in .001" sizes through 30cal. Easy to just slide the one off that you need.
