necking down

Converting RWS 7x57 brass into 6mm Rem. Previously I had ran Norma 7x57 brass into my FL redding sizer 6mm Rem die with the expander removed. Cases were well lubed with Imperial Sizing wax. Worked on every case. Tried the same with the RWS brass. I can size down about 1/2 of the neck and then the case collapses giving me a unique blown glass look that is not what I what by any means. I know this RWS brass is tougher and has thicker necks than the Norma.
So how do I get about this? I don't have any type of immediate die between a 6mm and a 308. This isn't cheap brass to be screwing up!!!!

The shoulders on the RWS brass could be softer than on the Norma, but if that's the case the necks should be softer too. About the only intermediate die that would work would be a .257 Roberts, but if going down ~0.04" will collapse the shoulders, going down ~0.03" will likely do the same thing.

If the RWS case necks are thick, sizing them down will make them thicker and might be too thick to chamber. Maybe turning the necks before sizing down might help.

I've sized a military '06 case down to .243 Win in one pass using Imperial wax with no problems except having to lean on the Rockchucker's handle pretty hard, and have sized Federal .308's down to .243 with a 7-08 intermediate with no problems too.
