NBRSA 600 yard Matches

Can you nail down Midwest a little closer?
I suspect anywhere you are considering will be a looong way from the middle of Texas.

From here to Madison, wi shows 1329 miles or a bit over 20 hours. I would be hungry a while before St. Louis. :>)

Where or the ribs in ST.Louis Dick

I am afraid the only reason I said that is here in Frederick Md. at the local Barbecue Restaurant "Famous Daves" I like their St. Louis Style ribs.

It is kinda like the difference between a NY stripsteak and a Kansas City stripsteak, as far as I can tell it is which side of the Missippi river you are on.

You got that right. I couldn't find Tuff TX on google maps so I just used Dallas. 20 hrs is a bit much for the average 600yd match. Maybe for a Nationals though.

Tuff TX is now a ghost town. My Grandmother used to ride horseback there to buy her groceries in the 1904 to 1910 era. Try Googling Utopia, TX.

I would love to have some 600 and 1000 yard matches close enough to shoot. We held a couple of each in TX but didn't get much turnout. At the last 600 yard match, we gave out 9 top ten patches. That spelled doom for the matches. I was driving about 300 miles to shoot that.

I spent the fall and winter of 97 in the Frederick / Thurmont area. There was a "Red Hot and Blues" Memphis style BBQ place in Frederick that was pretty good. Different from Texas style but good.

I'd love to shoot 600 in Texas if we can get a pig hunt in as well. Put a mach on each end and we will come down for the week.
